Add Taq DNA Polymerase is a recombinant protein derived from the Thermus aquaticus DNA Polymerase I gene, expressed and purified from recombinant Escherichia coli. Taq DNA Polymerase is the most commonly used in PCR method. It possesses 5'→3' exonuclease activity as a characteristic of Taq DNA Polymerase and very weak 3'→5' exonuclease activity. In addition, since an A-tail is formed at the 3' end of the amplified DNA, a T-vector can be used for cloning using the amplification product.
When utilizing Add Taq DNA Polymerase for PCR, 3 kb or less of amplification products can be obtained under standard PCR conditions. The 10x reaction buffer contains a range of components to maximize the activity of Taq DNA Polymerase, along with 20 mM MgCl2.

Add Taq DNA Master (2x Conc.) is a pre-mixed product of essential components for PCR reactions, including Add Taq DNA Polymerase, Reaction Buffer (+Mg), dNTP mixture, gel loading dye (Xylene Cyanol FF), and enzyme stabilizers to maximize customers' convenience. Add Taq DNA Master (2x Conc.) ensures the same performance as the manual product and can produce amplification products of up to 3 kb under standard PCR conditions. Additionally, since an A-tail is formed at the 3' end of the amplified DNA, the T-vector can be used for cloning using the amplification product. This product is supplied in two forms of 1.0 mL per screw cap tube (Cat. No. 35001) and 10.0 μl per 8-strip tube (Cat. No. 35001SS).
